Some Days

Some days everything will be silent

Maybe not for long,

Maybe for weeks.

You’ll peel your hands from your ears;

They stick with sweat and pressure.

Look around you

The coast is so clear.

On those days you’ll see

There are always glass windows for rain to fall on,

Always hugs to give,

Always beds to sink into,

Always me to come sit by you,

Stroke your hair back,

Whisper in your ear,

“We’re going to be alright.

We’re going to be alright.

We’re going to be alright.”
