We were born soulmates. She used to be with me a lot during my childhood days, but it depleted as the years passed. We promised each other to necessarily meet daily at least for the minimum limited time and I have kept that promise till today and will keep that promise till death and even after death.
Mostly we used to meet at night but as I grew up I wanted to be lonely during the dark, so I refused to meet her at the night and she readily obliged.
Even during the worst of my days she was the one who used to be there for me to help me forget everything. And whenever I refused to meet her I used to suffer and suffocate. My daily date with her was rejuvenating for me and that’s why we made it compulsory.
Like all others we too used to fight with each other, so to please me sometimes she used to come with the special stories crafted by her to tell during our meet. Some of her stories were mere memories of mine. Some were sweet and some were scary but still I loved them all.
We never proposed to one another but we both knew we were deeply in love and we both knew that we couldn’t live or die without each other. She never expected anything from me except my time. For her I might just be a lover but for me she is a necessity.
She was loved by many, hated by some, some still try hard to get her.
Her name is sleep, and the stories she used to tell are famously called dreams.
